Studs I Have Known (1988)

creative150Though I’ve been posting pages from my old journals and elementary/middle/high school creative writing assignments since 2005, this is the first time that I’m attempting to follow a schedule. Now that I’m almost finished with all the promotional hoopla for Perfect Fifths, I’ve decided to restore the (retro) element of the (retro)blog. Starting today, I’ll post pages from my old journals, creative writing assignments and other juvenilia every Thursday. Senryu Tuesday will remain Senryu Tuesday. On Mondays I’ll answer one reader question, which means that you should start emailing me your questions now via megan@meganmccafferty.com with Q&A Monday as the subject. Wednesdays and Fridays will be off or free for news updates and/or pure randomness.

On Facebook this morning I completed the 15 Books in 15 Minutes meme. The Catcher in the Rye was #1 so I thought it would be fitting for me to post this essay I wrote for my eighth grade Language Arts class. (more…)
