Tonight as I waited for the R train at the 14th Street station, I watched in fear as a drunk/drugged Latino man calmly told everyone within earshot that he was going to jump in front of the train when it arrived.

Tonight I threw away my last two River Phoenix articles and kept four cards written by C three years ago. I organized my 401(k) forms, bank statements and payroll receipts. I chucked any Christmas wishes from people I don’t speak to anymore.
