Yesterday’s Post: A Clarification

I read a lot as I’m working on my books. And nearly every day, I’ll read something–be it a whole article, or just a paragraph, or maybe a sentence or two–that triggers something inside my mind that helps me contemplate a character or scene or whatever from a different point of view. The original source material–the article, paragraph or sentence or two–gets churned around inside my head and then evolves into something new and unrecognizable.

In this specific case, Ann Power’s aforelinked article got me thinking about what motivates a “heroic troublemaker” like Marcus to act the way he does.

In other words: RELAX. MARCUS FLUTIE IS NOT THE DUDE FROM SUGAR RAY. MARCUS FLUTIE IS MARCUS FLUTIE.
